Northern Pike Record

This is the new record in Canada. He caught it on the Winnipeg River near Seven Sisters, in Manitoba.

This guy (in the photos above), was fishing and caught a 36" Pike. As he was reeling it in, a 56" Pike tried to eat it!

He landed them both in the same net.

Awesome catch on a river in Canada - 55lbs-56 inches.
It goes to show you that live bait works the best for the giant fish.
These pictures of a Northern Pike where taken on
the Winnipeg River close to our home near Lac du Bonnet , Manitoba.
Awsome fish!!!!!!

Hope to return to our winter home Nov.02/07

WHILE FISHING WITH VERY KNOWLEDGABLE PARTNERS FOR A COUPLE EARLY MORNING HOURS I ASKED THEM "what kind of a fish looks like a "T"

HIS RESPONSE - "GIVE HIM LINE"

HELL NO - I STARTED REELING QUICKLY.

THE RESULT --- WE LANDED A 37" PIKE WITH BITE MARKS IN HIS BELLY.

WE ESTIMATE {as fishermen do} THE PERSUING FISH WAS APPRX. 5'-6' IN LENGTH.

AT THE DOCK I STATED I THOUGHT WE DID PRETTY GOOD , however I was the only one to catch anything, MY PARTNER, JERRY, THEN PROCEEDED TO TOSS ME OVERBOARD.

I LOVED IT AND MISS JERRY & DOUGIE ALOT.

I just received an e-mail stating it was caught here in Saskatchewan. So I searched it... I have also found it caught in Alberta and Ontario. Strange how the same guy caught the same fish in 4 different provinces the same way.
