Appreciation Luncheon February 26th
On Tuesday we had our Annual Appreciation Luncheon for all our volunteers.
Volunteers were entertained by Electric Blue. Everyone seemed to enjoy his antics, as you can see in the picture below Sister Shelene was having a blast. Unfortunately, we did not get a picture of Bob Simpson as one of the Blues Brothers. He was very good! And, of course, before leaving the building, Elvis gave several of the ladies his personal scarves.
I want to Thank all the volunteers, again for all the time and effort that they put into activities for FHTV.

With A Song In My Heart - U of A Encore
For the second time this season we had a sell-out house. Last night U of A Encore presented "With A Song In My Heart" and as usual the performance was exceptional. Many of the students performing last night were freshman and if their performance here is any indication of what these students will become after college we have a lot to look forward to.
Next month we have "Harp Fusion" from U of A performing for us (February 13th), make your plans accordingly. Remember that we always have sell-outs for the students from U of A!

FHTV Holiday Activities
Sorry that I haven't posted anything in awhile, you know how it is around here at holiday time.
Our wonderful guests have been trying to fatten up the office staff by feeding us lots and lots of homemade goodies (and they really were good!!). It is soooooo hard to try and diet around here during the holidays.
We kicked off our holiday season with the Arizona Symphonic Winds directed by Lazlo Veres. Santa came and visited with the grandchildren and had as much fun as the children, I'm sure.
We wish you all a Happy New Year.

Virus Alert
Phyllis Randall went to the snopes site and it is a real virus to be on the look out for check to make sure your virus protection is upto date. VIRUS ALERT!!
http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/zafi.asp > >
You should be alert during the next days:
Do not open any message with an attached file called 'Merry Christmas' regardless of who sent it, It is a virus that opens as an Open Log Fire and will burn the whole hard disc in your computer. This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list, that is why you should send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it. If you receive a mail called 'Merry Christmas', though sent by a friend, do not open it and shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced, it has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

Glenda & Charlie Sutherland
It is December 30, 2007 and the last of our family and visitors have just left. It is quite a shock to be alone after 3 weeks of lotsa cooking and wall to wall big and little people. Christmas time was wonderful having all the family home 16 in all, 3 dogs and a cockatiel. We played games, sang Christmas Carols and ate and ate and ate. Now we are looking forward to spending New Years Eve with full spaghetti dinner and dancing. Then we are packing up and headed for Tucson.
We have had a lot of snow and it has been beautiful with all the decorations and young folks to shovel the snow. Skiing has been great for everyone here. For the first year, Charlie and I have not gone cross-country skiing with family on boxing day, the 26th.
Charlie is still having problems with his surgery on cracked upper femur but is coming along. We look forward to getting there, but please warm things up for us. We have been checking the weather and doesn’t look like we have missed too much swimming.
Seasons Greetings to all
